Lots of British TV star folks in this one. The premise: Holmwood discovers he has syphilis and decides to team up with The Cult of the Undead to bring Dracula to England. Once he arrives, he's expected to offer some kind of creepy blood transfusion which will cure the disease.
Arthur figures the Count will just go home afterward. Despite the fact he buys him a bunch of property.
All around, I enjoyed the movie but it was way too short (wasn't even an hour and a half). The actor who plays Dracula was awesome (played Teatime in Hogfather). Sophia Myles played Lucy. David Suchet took on Van Helsing.
What I liked most was the fact they changed quite a lot. I've read Dracula a few dozen times, I've seen PLENTY of movies, I know the story well enough that I don't need to see it replicated again. So it was refreshing to see some stuff switched around.
Sadly, none of the new stuff was expanded on enough to make it really interesting.
This movie is on Prime right now and I'd say if you're doing something else (I was having lunch and doing some writing) then it's totally worth throwing on.
